After a continuous number of fire outbreaks in Mbarara city, traders in Mbarara city under their umbrella Mbarara city traders association MBACITA, have launched a campaign of start looking for the money among themselves to buy their own fire brigade car that will help them in fighting such incidents that have turned into threats to their businesses.
Speaking to journalists today in a press conference at Grand holiday hotel in Mbarara, the chairperson MBACITA Simon Seezi, has told the media under their umbrella Mbarara united journalists association that after all these fire outbreaks, they have discovered that they have not been helped out and yet their the ones who make losses and that’s why they have decided to come together and look for money among themselves to buy their own car that can rescue them in time.
According to Seezi, they estimate that this can cost them Shs148millions and he called up on fellow traders to be part of the campaign.
Seezi again has come out and blasted the government and its fire brigade department in the Police for not responding positively always whenever there is fire accident.
