Kabale Mourns Former LC5 Chairperson Patrick Keihwa.

Patrick Besigye Keihwa, the former Kabale District LCV Chairperson has died.
Keihwa who is also the former Uganda Local Governments’ Association (ULGA) chairperson for Western Uganda succumbed to Covid-19 at Health stone Hospital in Banda, Kampala on Thursday evening, according to a close family member. 

Keihwa has been on life support for the last three days. 
Edmond Ntimba, Kabale District Chief Administrative Officer says that the death of Keihwa is very disheartening because during his tenure he served diligently. Ntimba says that Keihwa who handed over office last month left no audit query.

Darius Nandiinda, Kabale Resident District Commissioner says that during Keihwa’s tenure, he preached solidarity among district staff. 
Sam Tindimwebwa, former Kabale municipality mayor contestant says that Keihwa’s death is very hard to believe.  

Nelson Nshangabasheija, the Kabale District LC5 chairman says that Keihwa will be remembered for cherishing peaceful politics in the district.

Keihwa served as Kabale District Chairman since 2011 until last year when he was defeated by Nshangabasheija in the NRM party primaries. He also served as the district councilor representing Kitumba sub-county from 2006-2011.
