In a recent announcement, the FDC Katonga faction has once more deferred their eagerly awaited delegates conference, shifting it to August 2024.
This postponement follows a prior rescheduling from March 2024 to May 2024.
Chairing the faction, Waswa Birigwa disclosed that there are still crucial consultations pending on their agenda before they unveil their next course of action in the forthcoming delegates conference.
Interestingly, despite the ongoing frenzy surrounding the registration of members in numerous political parties, the FDC Katonga faction appears unperturbed by the delay in their conference.
Furthermore, in a separate development, the faction has called upon law enforcement to apprehend the assailants responsible for attacking MP Francis Mwijukye. The assault occurred during his intervention in a church land dispute over the weekend.
This latest development underscores the faction’s commitment to ensuring thorough deliberations and addressing pertinent issues before convening their much-anticipated delegates conference.
