Kamuli district chairperson Charles Maxwell Mugude has died in a road accident in Kayunga while on his way to pick nomination papers from the National Movement Electoral Commission offices.
Sources confirmed that Mugude perished in a fatal crash today’s morning as he travelled for the NRM nomination process ahead of party primaries as he was seeking re-election.
The accident occurred along the Kayunga-Galiraya road, in a head-on collision with a sugarcane truk.
Mugude was behind the wheels and it’s not yet clear if there were other occupants in the same car.
