As Mbarara University of Science and Technology prepares for its twenty seventh graduation ceremony, the vice chancellor Prof. Obua Celestino is asking government to increase on financial support in education service program.
Mbarara University of Science and Technology MUST is slated to conduct its twenty seventh graduation this Saturday 24th April 2021 at Kihumuro main university campus along Mbarara Bushenyi-Ishaka road that will be presided over by its Chancellor Prof Mark Lwanga Olweny.
Obua revealed that a total of One Thousand two hundred sixty nine graduands shall be awarded degrees and diplomas in various disciplines of which 475 are females and 794 are males.
Twenty of the graduands will be awarded PhDs which Prof Obua described as great achievement in the history of the university.
Prof Obua clarified that due to the current threatening situation of covid19 only two hundred selected individuals included graduands of special performance shall participate in virtual graduation ceremony reducing the number from five thousand.
Prof Obua disclosed this at press briefing conducted at Mbarara University of Science and Technology Kihumuro campus.
